Just saw a lunar eclipse. It's just awesome! I used a pair of binoculars to help me. It was visible in Africa, South America, Central Asia, Australia and East Asia.

I should have been able to see the last 45 minutes of totality and the final partial phase in England. Thanks to clouds, all I saw was the last few minutes of the partial phase - and there were still hazy clouds in the way.

I never get to see solar eclipses. Just lunar ones. The next solar eclipse that will be visible from South America will be on 13th November, 2012 (aww, 2012). But the next solar eclipse will occur 1st July, 2011, but it will be visible only from the Indian Ocean. However, the africans will have to wait only until 25th November, 2011.
