the closer the prediction the less im scared…

It makes some sense. But to me, the more fake the prediction is, the less I'm scared.

Well there all psuedo-scientific or , butchering of the bible claims , so it does not make a diffrence to me.

Yeah that is how it is for me! Back in '08 when I was scared I just told myself: "Outta sight, outta mind" and bottled up my fear. This doesn't help because it was always somewhere in the back of my mind, and it would come and go. The best way I got over this was facing my fears! Not saying to go to woo sites or anything. But I read every topic and every reply on this site. At first, when I would see some doomy topic I would start to get a cold sweat! LOL… Now that I have armed myself with time & knowledge… I don't bat and eye to even the most ominous claims. I think that it's a combination of facing your fears, arming yourself with knowledge… And letting the time draw nearer seeing that no evidence whatsoever is appearing (umm severe weather!? LOL… nice try, proponents!) I hope that as 2012 draws nearer more folks can break their fears and be free.

There was crazy severe weather with a tornado here in chicago

But i handled it

Just that? Here we don't need any tornado. A 50 km/h (31 MPH) wind is enough to cut down a lot of trees, triggering blackouts, etc.

It was 80-100 MPH Wind and tornadoes were reported , My plant was gone :d

I read the news about the tornado you had there. I saw that many flights were canceled (around 300). You must have had many problems there, right?

Only the power but it was fixed the other morning , and it was hard to get to school with all the branches and trees on the road.
