It is almost 3:30 AM here at the moment. I went out to close my car windows and immediately noticed a bright light in the sky. It was in the northern part of the sky, and was a lot brighter than any other thing in the sky. Is it one of the planets, or just a very bright star? Looked really cool and got me curious. Maybe it is NIBIRU!!!!…. I could probably make a youtube video of it and convince people that it is. Seriously though, I am just curious as to what it is.

Vega to the northwest at apparent magnitude 0.0.

Capella to the northeast at apparent magnitude 0.6.

I guess those are the most likely suspects in the general vicinity of north. You could see Jupiter off to the east around that time, apparent magnitude -2.32 (very bright).

Could of been East honestly, I was going off of my car compass which from where it was sitting and saying SW, the object looked to be North. I don't know how reliable they are, I just know it was very bright.

Are you serious? The paper claims (on page 37) that Comet Elenin "has massive UFO Fleet following in formation in its tail". Whenever you see the words "Nibiru" and "Elenin" on the same document, you can easily ignore it.

The newfound planets are located at an average approximate distance of 10,000 to 20,000 light-years from Earth.

The second video is clearly about the sorts of disasters we experience here on Earth. They recommend reasonable, common-sense type stuff like have a week's worth of food, have a half tank of gas in your car, and seek an inside room in your house for safety (all done by memory, they may have worded it differently.) None of these things will protect NASA employees from doomsayer claims, so the NASA video cannot possibly be a response to 2012.

One to the things that whenever they show such a photo of Elenin and so called UFO is that they never show 2-3 images in a row spread over a few hours to show that it moves and not some background star or noise. When I looked at the images I grabbed, I could only detect Elenin when I blinked the images. To check what moved and what not.

As an extension to that, what's the point in spending time in such a group when you know it's rubbish and yet you aren't in a position to tackle it yourself?

By that I mean why come here instantly, rather than attempt to get to the root of the claims yourself first? Because you'll become a far more useful person, if that's the right choice of word, if you can think critically for yourself rather than rely on others.

Ask questions, sure. Ask questions that are easily answered through Google, for example, and it begins to tire. Help us out by helping yourself out.
