Hello all, I'm in need of some serious advice.
Currently, my family and I live next door to an assumed 'crazy lady'. This woman is about 60-70 years old, does nothing all day but water her plants essentially - Anyway to the story. This woman is the epitome of the mean old lady down the street, she calls the police if our Beagles bark for more than 3 minutes, well.. 'howl' (Beagles don't exactly bark..) I can understand getting annoyed of an animals noise, but this has happened 3 times all ready. She constantly walks her fence, which causes my dogs to bark, as it would any dog.. But she expects us to NEVER let them bark? That's just one problem. We have friends over on the weekends, and my dad plays music outside sometimes, she has called complaining the music is too loud - this too, I can understand. When the cops came to check out the situation, they came around to our backyard (where were sitting) and said to us "we didn't even know you had music on until we got back here.." and basically laughed that this woman called the cops on us. She has called the cops on the fact that my brother's ball rolled in her yard - I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. She called because my brother ran over to get the ball.. Today, she called and tried to say we were shooting our airsoft guns at her yard purposely (essentially) the cops told us it was illegal to have those in our city, and threatened me with a felony because I was home while it was taking place.
I'm not being a naive teenager, I COMPLETELY understand the airsoft thing, especially since they are illegal (which we didn't know.. We've looked up city codes and it never said such a thing, but whatever.. listen to teh copz!) Essentially this woman calls the cops if we breathe too loud. Wondering what you all suggest.. I'm getting tired of this 'silent approach' My blood is boiling.
