A couple of years ago I answered a question on Yahoo! Answers by saying that anyone converting to Islam would be safe from doomsday in 2012 for this reason. I was highlighting the stupidity of the whole thing, but I wonder if anyone took me seriously.

I meant it as a joke. Just pointing out that our year and counting method is way different then theirs.

I didn't mean that you took it seriously, but some of the kids on Y!A might have.
It currently Hebrew Year 5771, so they obviously survived 2012 doomsday.
