I was watching some music I liked and this popped up in the side bar. I used to not be scared of a collison with an obect but this made me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flJeK8AK7y8
Why are you scared of a film? And, by the way, the special effects are just awful.
I absoulutley hate the idea of a huge tidal wave killing us. When ever I hear a claim regarding it I tighten up and start breathing heavy.
I'm the same way, I have nightmares about it. I also live 5 mins from the beach and in super active fault line So. Cal.
I sleep in scuba gear, just in case.
Geez, the Discovery Channel upped their budget by a lot. This was on Apocalypse How? Right? I got bored so I never watched it. If something like this WERE to happen, I'm willing to believe there would be adequate enough warnin that the impact site (in this case NY would be evacuated.)
Aside from the crap attached to it, that video is kinda-sorta awesome. I watched it in low-res, so it might be far less impressive in good quality.
Seriously, TLD, I don't understand people like you. If you're really bothered by outrageous stuff like killer asteroid-induced tsunamis, which are just mind-bogglingly unlikely, then you must be absolutely certifiable when you think about heart disease, automobile crashes and cancer. If I had to speculate, I would say you are tens of thousands of times more likely to die of the rarest known medical condition than to even have the opportunity to witness such an epic impact, let alone be injured or killed by it.
