This is starting to look a little too suspicious…

I AM VERY FRIGHTENED BY THINGS THAT SHOW WAY TOO MANY "COINCIDENCES", THIS IS ONE OF THEM…

First, a black president; comment about the "budget" at 1:30 in clip; "recall of American troops from aboard comment @ 3:11 in clip and finally treasury secretary leaving office for personal reasons@ 3:34 in clip.

Additionally, a close look at the movie jacket of the Deep Impact movie is CLEARLY showing an impact in the Atlantic Ocean. How's that? You clearly can see as the asteroid hits, it illuminates the Empire State Building!

IT'S BEEN CATASTROPHIC ENOUGH LIVING IN NYC AND HAVING HAD EXPERIENCE 9/11 UP CLOSE, BUT TO SEE THESE TYPE OF COINCIDENCES IN A MOVIE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE "FICTIONAL", RAISES MY RED FLAG, AND BEGS THE QUESTION, SHOULD I BE TAKING THIS MOVIE SERIOUSLY.

Sorry, but no.

Comet Elenin was discovered in 2010. It is not a threat to Earth in any way. It cannot impact us, not unless magic is real.

"Deep Impact" came out already in 1998.

So are you saying that the script writers of this fairly average 1990's disaster movie are somehow the best psychics or spirit mediums the world has ever witnessed? Exactly how would they have known that the United States should elect a black president in 2008? Or maybe they are time travelers?

You are reading way too much into this movie. Especially since Elenin absolutely will not impact us.

EDIT: You didn't specifically mention comet Elenin in your post, but this movie is usually connected to this comet. Which is crazy.

But yeah, I fail to see how exactly this movie foretolds hypothetical future disasters. It is just another disaster movie, which are thirty in a dozen.

In the 1950's they made disaster flicks about giant spiders and ants. Does this mean that we should be worried about potential giant spider or ant attacks in the future?

This just a case of some other idiot on youtube looking for his 5 minutes of fame. I could probably go watch any movie and nit pick certain parts and be like 'OH EM GEE SEE GUYZ THEY WERE RIGHT CUZ IM UBBER COOL AND WAS ABLE TO SEE THE SECRET MSG IN TEH MOVIE" gimme a break. go have a look at the the wonderful subjects on the side there. specifically on comet elenin, asteroids and comets. it will put your mind at ease. Oh and you guys SHOULD really add another section on the side there on this movie and debunking all the bogus claims in this movie
