Question :
A while back, I asked you to explain the increase in the intensity and number of earthquakes and volcanos. You said that there hadn't been any increase and suggested that I check out USGS. I did as you suggested and I was very surprised to find out that you were correct. Thank you! AND You say that the NASA preparedness video is fake but if it's fake then why is it on your website? AND How do we all know that the government isn't paying you to calm people down? Or inventing that nothing is going to happen? AND Scientists and a lot of other people are predicting something catastrophic to occur in 2012, and with the mayan calendar and scientists such as Albert Einstein being so specific about that date it makes me panic.
Answer:
These four questions, al
l received the same day, illustrate the wide range of public reactions to this website. To the first questioner, I am glad that you used an independent source to verify what I wrote you. Government science website such as USGS, NOAA, and NASA are excellent sources of information. To the second, I am afraid that you did not read what I actually posted on June 14 about the NASA preparedness video. I said that the video had nothing to do with Comet Elenin, and that the people who made the video have probably never heard of Comet Elenin. How could you construe that as saying the video is fake? The video is fine; it is just not related to Comet Elenin or any other crazy doomsday rumor. To the third questioner, I ask, if you don't trust the government, why would you write to NASA or to me? Why not get independent verification from the non-government scientists who write on 2012hoax.org, for example? You wont find any scientists who believe the crazy doomsday stories about Nibiru, or pole shifts, or Elenin, or any of the other current conspiracy theories. Are you suggesting that the entire international scientific community is lying to you? To the final question, I don't know how to answer. Every assertion in this question is false. It is very sad that such obvious lies are circulating on the internet and causing widespread fear, especially among children.
