Obviously, it was Nibiru. This "variable star" story is just disinfo put out by Illuminati scientists.

And the Scandinavians called Sirius "Lokabrenna," or "Loki's Torch." (Mind you, the pre-Christian Norse folks actually liked Loki, so this wasn't necessarily a negative thing.)
