So I posted a thread here not too long ago about a July 21st doomsday involving Planet X/Niburu. Now some new things have popped up that just seem rediculous. People are still saying that it will hit us in 3 days "July 21st, 2012" and that Australia can see it now to the fullest extent. Few things about that though. #1 even if it was coming from the south not just Australia would be able to see it right? Since its so big? #2 Wouldnt this be all over the news by now? Not just the ONLINE news? The world ending in 3 days you think would be a big deal…#3 the only site Ive seen this date displayed on was the Weekly World News site. Which everyone should know this is a spoof site…it even has November as another end of the world date…faulty. #4 If this planet even did exist, wasnt it just supposed to pass close t us and not hit us Exactly? Y now all of a sudden its going to hit us? #5 If it was really as close as people say it is (3 days away) then wouldnt we be feeling massive effects from it by now? Like earthquakes and,stuff? People around here are blaming the drought on this thing so why not obvious effects; even something as unnoticable like a change in the tides.

Now there are a few thimgs that seem sketchy to me though. #1 is the sun has been reaaaalllyyy bright lately, and seems to be staying in the NE in sunrise. Isnt it supposed to be moving back south for winter? #2 I like to skim Yahoo answers to see peoples takes on these types of questions. Last night I saw 2 titles, One was I NOW SEE 1 PLANET AND ITS HUGE AND WILL BE HERE JULY 21!st. Another one was So whats going to happen after doomsday Julu 21st 2012. However when I went to see the answers…it was removed. So was the other post. And since I have seen 0 doomsday posts (which believe me is strange). Did they just finally ban the repetitive question, or are they hiding something (so my friend thinks)? #3 I sometimes wonder if I really wouldnt be able too see this "planet" sinve I live in Kansas. Is this true? Or would it be here for all to see?

This is starting to get bad though. Despite evidence against it my friend is contemplating suicide. The bad thing is theres really little debunkers can do to people! who are dead set on the apocolypse. What do you guys think?

It would be visible across at least the entire southern hemisphere. Nobody in Australia has seen any such thing.

One of the "charms" of the Nibiru myth is the doomsayers continually contradict each other on what exactly it's supposed to be and what exactly it is supposed to do.

It would have been obvious long ago in the orbits of other Solar System bodies.

I don't know what you're talking about. The Sun is no brighter than normal, and it's right where it should be. You can use any software that predicts sunrise/sunset position (like Stellarium) to verify this.

I'm on Y! Answers almost every day, and I see doomsday/woo questions routinely. Again, no idea what you're talking about.

Who exactly are "they?" How are they hiding something, and why just on Yahoo! Answers? There's no shortage of Nibiru content on YouTube, Facebook and wide assortment of crackpot websites. You'd think those would be prime targets if "they" wanted to hide something.

You certainly will not see it, because it doesn't exist. If it did exist, you would see photos all over the Internet even if you couldn't, for some unlikely reason, see it in person from your location.

I think this website stands as strong evidence to the contrary, though I guess it depends on what exactly you mean by "dead set on the apocalypse." I don't think we'll be helping the Patrick Geryls and Turn-Tail Trevors of the world, if that's what you mean.

I'm not quite sure why a spoof article in Weekly World News should need any debunking at all.

People are still saying that it will hit us in 3 days "July 21st, 2012"

People can say what they like, but if there isn't a scrap of evidence for what they say, why take any notice?

Observe the sunrise against a fixed object on two mornings and you will see that it is certainly moving south.

Who are 'they'? Teams of Yahoo! Answers adminstrators pouncing on any doomsday questions? In my estimation, Y!A admin consists of about 3 people.

Wouldnt this be all over the news by now?

The fact that none of this 2012 doomsday bunk has ever made it as a serious subject for concern on any mainstream TV news or newspaper should really tell you all you need to know.

I live at the southern end of New Zealand, which is further south than everywhere in Australia, and I haven't seen anything remotely like an unusual object in the night sky, or the day sky!

The brightest objects that we see from this end of the world, in order, are :-
Sun,
Moon,
Venus,
International Space Station,
Mars,
Jupiter,
occasional 'shooting stars' (small meteors burning up in the upper atmosphere),
artificial satellites,
planes and helicopters, and
*lots of stars (from rural locations).

So, take it from a southerner, we can't see any imaginary, BS, objects - whether "to the fullest extent" or not!
Anyway, who are these people who say "Australia can see it now to the fullest extent."? .. I bet they aren't Australians .. or New Zealanders, or South Americans, or South Africans, or scientists in Antarctica, or fishermen in the Southern Ocean.
And, if they are Australians, they have been taking too much Kangaroo juice, or they've spent too much time in the blazing sun of the outback, and are seeing stars that are only in their minds.

I dont mean for this to make me feel stupid. the second part questions were all asked by my doomsayer friend. I sas just seeing if my logic was correct against his. (the first #1-5 list) ill try to get my friend to get help though, he's pretty shaken. He wont look at this site though for some odd reason. He thinks it will make him relieved just to be wronged. Oh well. Thanks guys.
