Radio station was promoting the selling of tickets for a end of the world party I don't think they should be doing stuff like this because some wack job is going to take this a little too far.. not only that but there are also a lot of little kids that listen to the radio and hear something like this would be devastating.
A bunch of bars in my area are doing an "End of the world party". It really annoys me.
I can see doing it as a joke….Like…"Oh hey guys we are having a end of the world party because to celebrate the failure of all the doomtards claims"…but taking it seriously like "yes the world will end lets go out partying" Is stupid
Overprotecting and shielding yourself is not good.
Sometimes what appears to be a 2012 bad thing is a good thing in reality because it makes fun about the doomtards.
A 2012 party is a hell of a good time to have fun at the doomtards.
I'd go to one if they had one here… would be a bit of fun and a laugh… :-)
As you said its making fun of the doom tards…
Not all 2012 things are bad :-)
I see stupid people…
Seriously, why are people still saying it's the end of the world when it isn't ? The 2012 Doomsday is pretty much debunked now, and all this is going to do is make people scared over nothing.
Not every 2012 event or ad should be taken seriously.
Some events and some ads are intended to be not taken seriously.
A lot of people will call for an end of the world party, because they want to make fun about the doomtards and have a big party instead if sitting in the cellar. The people that come to these fun parties all laugh at doomtards. It is the last place where a doomtard will be.
It is also ok when children see the 2012 party as something fun instead of something as doom.
It is ok when children associate 2012 with just another stupid ad.
Just don't overprotect people. Laughing with the event is also very good.
I've learned something, to lmao at doomsday adds :D.
Not much, just spending time with family and spending some money afterwards :D.
Thats pretty much what ill be doing..we are baking cookies and doing a cookie exchange with our families …this ought to b interesting seeing as how both of my kiddos want to help lol
Guys, this is no big deal. Much ado about nothing. It is a joke. The vast majority of people don't take this crap seriously. They are not hiding in their houses in fear of 2012. It is a way to laugh about the absurdity of the claims. If a radio station is giving tickets away for an end of the world party it is not because they believe it. It is precisely because they believe it is total bunk. I find it great. let the rest of us have fun and go out to enjoy life while the doomsday bozos are hiding in their shelters. My hope is that the people they have surrounded themselves with will rise up and tar and feather the wankers. It is no different than the y2k parties people had, or a simple halloween party. There are a lot of people who get bent out of shape over halloween because they think we are playing with the devil. I had just such an experience with a devout christian this last halloween when I dressed up like a druid and my kids were slenderman, michael myers, and a kitty cat vampire. It really offended some who thought we were harming others by promoting something that was evil. Did it make those people think I was some sort of lost demonic soul? Yeah, highly likely, but it was a lot of fun.
Keep in mind also that, depending on where you live, a party the evening of the 21st is after the alleged time of doomsday. Anyone scheduling a party for that time clearly doesn't believe a word of the hoax..
I'll probably have a small celebration with my neighbors and a friend or two, myself :)
I was in my hometown for the wknd…there is a bar promoting an end of the world party on 20 Dec
I dont think it's too much of a big deal; although it's not good to spread word around where some guy could take the info and twist it to scare people, I think a party could be a good thing; being around people that night may help some people with anxiety, or maybe just have a laugh at the crazy things we've heard over the past few years
