Was sitting in class, and the teacher turned on the television and the first that was said was that the world is now ending on 12/12/12 and then the channeled was changed that said the world was ending either between the 21st all the way until 24th. they said on the 24th m ost of the population will be wiped out except a few and those few will become more spiritual and have a better understanding of god and have telepathic powers ( i dont believe the telepathic powers) but in my class people started having a huge freak out,because a few hours later we were in a school assembly and a note was being passed around saying "the end is nigh 15 days be prepared" and im not even joking major freak out by everyone. Because our school has had many bomb threats and were all on edge from the last one and yeah, i was curious if any of you could shed some light on this so i can try and calm them down somehow along with myself.
Are you serious? Numerology is nothing to be scared of. Simply why are people doing these shows? Just stay strong because nothing is going to happen. It was like that on 11/11/11; did something happen, no. Same goes for 12/12/12. It's because people love to pull nasty pranks on people to scare them.
what about dec 22-24 they also said it could end or like a series of events etc would happen on these days ? (sorry full of Q's)

Could of been i remember hearing "12/12/12 the end ! " i looked up from drawing and saw what looked like the news and a picture of a Armageddon environment then the channeled was changed.
Seriously, what television was turned on in your class room. Doesn't sound like any class I've ever sat in throughout my life. It amazes me that the teacher turned the TV on and there was news about the world ending on 12-12, and when she flipped the channel it said 12-21 til 12-24. I've never been so lucky to find media covering those types of stories back to back, let alone in a class room. If people want to get help on this site, they need to be honest with themselves first, and 2nd with us so we can appropriately help them.
Now, not to diminish your fear, which I'm sure you have. You need to relax and gain a better understanding of how things work. Through science and mathematics this site and many across the globe have been able to debunk all of the nonsense that gets used to scare people. Numerology is nothing more than magically making numbers work for the purposes of the person trying to propose something. If you can understand that dates on Earth are a human way of keeping track of time, and they have nothing to do with time in the universe. Once you understand that, then you can see that numerology is bogus. If they start on a certain start date to achieve their goal then its WOW, how did they do that, but if you take their whacky ideas and start at a different date they don't make sense

It was a Trig class we have finished our work for the semester on Tuesday, we had nothing else to do so he turned the TV on and i cant recall the first channel and the other one i believe was some local news station. I am being completely honest with you guys. I don't believe numerology but i just don't understand where in the heck people are pulling this stuff off the Mayan calender, from what i have read is that it has stuff on it like winter solstice etc. no catastrophic events. Finally i see this thing called bible-code, personally i believe this is the most bull crapped thing ever its just ran through a computer from what i understand and it can literally come up with anything you want. To me that's like saying I'm going to run "A Game of Thrones" though some software and its going to tell me that on 2012 July 10th a platypus will bring me a ham sandwich while it dances to a old Aerosmith song.
You know people are cherry picking at the bible and putting them in their own ideas; that pisses me off.
So many misinterpret it, flip the meaning around etc. it annoys me to no end.

I myself see no proof, thanks to this site and you guys answering my questions. I asked my dad and he said he doesnt believe any doomsday theories he said there's been at least 10 or more since Ive been alive, its just this one is the one that has been more hyped up about.
There were more than that. They've been going on for centuries, and guess what? We're still here.
There were doomsday theories back in the B.C. time period from what i read. So looks like i need to do some Christmas shopping since were still gonna be here. :)

So you are saying that the only channels you receive on the tv in your trig class all are showing doomsday senario shows? Every single time the channel was switched it went to a doomsday type of program? Are you leaving out any other channels and just focused on the doomsday senarios? I say this because this really sounds highly unlikely. Also, the reactions were kind of far out there. For the whole class, then the whole school to be this paranoid is a a bit odd. Not saying impossible, just odd, and highly unlikely. Unless your school is a facility treating people with high anxiety disorders this sounds very far-fetched. I am not saying you are not "freaking out," as you put it. I am just saying that I find it difficult to believe that "everyone" was freaking out, and that every single channel was DOOMSDAY! I know enough kids/young adults to know that many would see this and laugh at it. My son for instance. Are you sure you were not projecting your own fears upon the rest of the kids at your school and then selectively seeing the reactions that matched your view of the events?

In that class its just cable television so the news stations are all together like channels i think 10 though 17 are all just news stations. Plus i go to a really really really small school. In my senior class its 28 people (small town xD) so it doesn't seem like a lot of people to you but our school doesn't really have that many students in total i believe there's maybe maybe 180 ? its not a high number at all that was the last i heard ( High school total) elementary,and middle schools were all sectioned in different parts of the town. I know it seems very very unlikely like once in a lifetime thing but it happened i promise you. It wasn't every single news channel it was 2, and when i previously stated in a earlier comment i didn't mean for it to seem like i saw the bible code on that same day (sorry for the confusion there i take blame) I saw and read some of the bible code show or whatever way back in 2008. Even then i didn't believe that it was true. I have only see one other thing about the bible code since 08 and that was around November of last year and they were trying to link stuff with Hitler and Obama etc ( dumbest thing Ive ever heard). Back to the subject at hand, when your in a small town and your class and entire high school is extremely small, it doesn't take a lot of effort to freak everyone out at once. I myself don't even talk about the subject at school, for the fear that i would cause someone to freak out. Finally, lol, i don't project my fears on the rest of the people at school. Either way this morning the school principal made an announcement calming everyone down by telling them it wasn't going to happen and he used this website to back it up (longest Ive ever heard the man speak in my life) and everyone was relieved that it wasn't going to happen *high-fives all around* .
