I don't believe the doomsday bs, but I'm curious as to where they get the 22nd and 23rd from. From my knowledge the calender ends on the 21st, but others say 22 and 23. Also, basically what do the Mayans really think will happen on that day ? party or something?

thats what i figured. lol they just want to stay in their precious little bunkers for longer so they wont look as dumb but when they come out they will look way dumber lol

Well, no - technically there isn't a clear consensus by historians and the like on when the dates tick over. The two prominent ones are the 21st and 23rd, and I think there's a pretty long list of them on the Wiki page.

See, dates all over the place should indicate the doomtard whackbags don't even know when the world ends! According to our mate geryl, some solar flare thingy was meant to happen on the 3rd Dec as well, guess what?? A whole heap of NOTHING occurred! And he thinks the "BIG ONES" are coming between 17-22 Dec??

Its like organising an event, and then hopping and skipping between different dates. I didn't buy into this BS ever. Not only are the dates all over the place, the predictions and theories are as well.

Why bother about the dates? It's wrong anyway. When you celebrate Christmas you know they have all failed.

When I was a couple of years younger (12, 13..I'm 15 now) I remember hearing about mayan and indian prophecies every year pretty much. Every time though, the dates would be "well, it'll happen on the 14th. Or maybe the 15th. But definitely by the 20th." Which gave me this way of perceiving it as "if they can't choose a date, they're wrong." Even though I had trouble accepting that this time around, now it makes to me again.

The 21st is the date which gets the vote among the Mayanist scholars, with the 23rd less well supported. The doom nuts like the 21st because it's got a real (but routine) astronomical event occurring, namely the solstice, so they can contrive some predictions around it such as galactic alignment.
Maybe the 23rd will rapidly gain favour over the 21st when nothing happens on that day, only to fall out of favour just as rapidly when we move on to the 24th, with still nothing happening. The doom nuts never seem to mention the 23rd. They seem to have placed all their chips on the number 21 and the croupier will rake them in and they'll be out of the game by the 22nd.
