So I was at work right and this guy I work with was showing me a video with 2 suns. He claims that the other sun was an alien ship. I was thinking nibiru because of everyone saying it will be the brightest object. Can someone explain this second sun theory to me. It's the only thing that is keeping me from not believing in 2012 anymore
Can someone explain this second sun theory to me.
Loopy people ignore physics and claim there are two Suns.
There really isn't anything more to it than that, and there are tens of threads relevant to the topic should you want to search through them for a more detailed response. Long story short, 400 years of telescopic observation of the night skies reveal nothing. Decades of constant space based observation across multiple wavelengths of light reveal nothing. You standing outside your house and looking up reveals nothing. Ergo, with a complete lack of supporting evidence, you can throw the claims in the bin.
Well what about the YouTube videos of people standing outside and seeing 2 suns in like New York and Bangkok?
I think I remember hearing something a while back about a supernova that happened far away from here that would make it seem as if we have 2 suns for a day or 2
If I put up a youtube video that shows that I can shoot lightning out my butt will you believe it? After all, it is on youtube and I said it is true. All the evidence you need is the video, right.
Not trying to be rude. I am just pointing out that you are not thinking clearly. Reason this through. There are a lot of photoshop type software available. There is no evidence that this is real. All scientific evidence says this is bogus. Common sense says this is bogus. If this were real, the major news agencies would all have been reporting on this. Why choose to believe some anonymous nutjob on youtube over everything showing it is absurd?
Every "two sun" video is either doctored or a simple lens flare. If there were two suns the entire world would see it. As for the supernova, are you referring to Betelgeuse?
The great thing about science is, it's true whether you believe in it or not.
Forget the videos, just completely ignore them.
Go outside, look up and count the number of suns you see.
Tada! You just debunked every "two suns" video ever made.
Hear the music before the song is over…
We go over the common problems with YouTube videos in the sidebar, not that the page has been updated in a while - the claims are always a variant on the same problems. Misidentified objects or occurrences including Sun Dogs, common image artefact problems including lens flares, or outright forgeries.
'What about' doesn't come into it at all, unless you want to ask 'what about your rock solid evidence for the existence of a second sun', to which there is none.
