Ok so let me get me straight the precesssion will not affect the winter solstice. And there is no special alignments. None that can cause us harm right or wrong.
Alignments never have any effect.
The only alignment that has a minimal effect is the Sun and the Moon creating a spring tide.
But except for that the distances of all other bodies are to far to have any tidal forces.
The gravitational forces are following an inverse squared law.
The tidal forces follows an inverse cubed law which means only a very short distance to be functional.
Precession just changes the time of year when the solstices (and equinoxes) occur. It moves the dates backwards through the year, hence the name PREcession rather than PROcession. It does this over thousands of years. Nothing to worry about.
Ok so let me get me straight the precesssion will not affect the winter solstice.
Well, strictly speaking, precession is a movement of the Earth's axis and the position of the Earth's axis defines the time of the solstice, but it's not doing anything it hasn't done for billions of years.
And there is no special alignments.
No. See here.
None that can cause us harm right or wrong.
None have ever caused us any harm. Read this:
If all the planets were to align perfectly with each one as close as possible to the Earth, their gravity would raise the ocean tides by just one twenty-fifth of one millimeter.
Kind of a dumb question, but what would be the beginning and the end of the precession? In my mind we complete the circle everyday. If it takes 26,000 years or whatever then we completed one today from 26000 years ago and will complete one tomorrow. Basically, precession wise, don't we complete it every day (I hope I make sense)
Yes, exactly. We just don't need to have a specific date for something that no human will ever live long enough to see in it's entirety, it's meaningless information.
If you put it that way, then yes. Every day it completes one full circle that was started 26,000 years previously.
Hear the music before the song is over…
There is no special beginning or end point to precession. You could choose ANY point in the cycle and CALL IT the beginning, then after 26,000 approx years you would reach the "end", as defined by your choice of beginning, but it would be totally meaningless.
Thanks everyone. Im trying understand all this. I think im going to have anxiety until that very day. Im so afraid that nasa missed something and then say oh I didnt know it was possible. And it be too late. I know just crazy

It's not a question of missing something. What you do is look at each doomsday claim and work out why it won't happen. And that's been done - comprehensively. All of which leaves us with… nothing.
