Ummm… I just actually joined this site today. I read articles from NASA (www [dot] nasa [dot] gov) and a senior scientist who also works there and answers questions about the 2012 thingy, whose links redirected here.
I read an article from NASA about solar storms and says:
Q: Is there a danger from giant solar storms predicted for 2012?
A: Solar activity has a regular cycle, with peaks approximately every 11 years. Near these activity peaks, solar flares can cause some interruption of satellite communications, although engineers are learning how to build electronics that are protected against most solar storms. But there is no special risk associated with 2012. The next solar maximum will occur in the 2012-2014 time frame and is predicted to be an average solar cycle, no different than previous cycles throughout history.
So let's say, there comes a solar storm. As stated above, it happens approximately every 11 years. We're in 2012 AD. Divide it by 11 and how many solar storms happened before today.
Obviously, the world is still revolving, humans are still alive, and what Mr. Harbinger had stated is clearly an exaggeration with no empirical basis. They are just messing up with our minds. Makes me wonder what they get from it.
Maybe their main goal is to really just mess up our minds. Let's not get caught, lest they see that they're winning.
