There seems to be many spectacular movies lined up for 2013, and I am excited.
And The Hobbit was an excellent movie. You should definitely see it.

I saw the Hobbit this Friday. Bloody amazing.
And yes, I'm waiting for Les Misérables this Christmas day. Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain America 2, The Hobbit 2 and so much more the next year! ;D

I see it as a way for people who worry about the 12/21/12 date to think past it and realize there is much more to look forward to than just a silly doomsday scare :)

I LOVED the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and I am sure I am going to love the Hobbit too. LOTR was one of the few adaptations that actually worked, unlike many other novels brought to the big screen.

I've read some reviews that criticize The Hobbit for story padding. Considering that the book isn't very long at all, I've been wondering why and how Peter Jackson expects to get a compelling film trilogy out of it.

I seen they were adding parts like where gandalf kept dissapearing to in the book and what not, will probably be dragged out a bit.
The book is almost 300 pages, no more. But it's not only the Hobbit, the movie has more parts of other Tolkien's books, but yeah… It's a bit of story padding too. However, the movie is still amazing, can't wait for the part 2.

Yes, they did a lot of padding. After 2 hrs and 46 minutes, I was stunned that the hadn't even arrived at the Lonely Mountain. Then I remembered that it was only part 1 of 2.

I think the movies right now suck , heard of the Hobbit have no idea what it is though , reminded me of harry potter and lord of the rings though.
