So which do we have every year galactic or planetary alignments. Cause I've read galactic happens every year. But then I also seen where it says there are no alignments. Which is it? And how do scientists even know what happened last precession? That it have no il l effects on earth?or that nothing odd will happen because its happening on winter solstice
So which do we have every year galactic or planetary alignments.
Galactic (sort of) alignments happen twice a year. Summer and winter solstices. It's never exact, and never will be. Planetary alignments of some kind happen all the time. Often you'll see Saturn, Venus and jupiter in the same area of the sky and they can look to be aligned, but out in space they're really quite a few degrees off. All 9 planets will probably never line up, and certainly not on the 21st.
And how do scientists even know what happened last precession?
Nothing happened last precession. Precession is a continuous cycle of the wobble on the earths axis. It completes a circle every 26,000 years and all that happens is constellations will be in different positions over time. There's no "start" or "end" to it, but technically it completes a cycle every day. If I want to say it began 26,000 years ago today, then we just completed a cycle.
A lie can travel half way around the world before the truth can get its boots on.
So do they happen. Because if they happen every year. Why is some scientist saying we wont have it this year. Im not finding many professional scientists adressing this. Either in truth we are going to have a special alignment or it happens every year
So do they happen. Because if they happen every year. Why is some scientist saying we wont have it this year.
Yes. Twice a year and they're nothing special…and what?! Which "scientist"? Because I can guarantee you no real scientist would ever say that.
A lie can travel half way around the world before the truth can get its boots on.
Don't you know? It's easy to generate bullshit claims and be nebulous when you don't give a legitimate source for them.
Just say "a scientist". Maybe a few idiots will believe that.
That, and, well, we've had the Summer Solstice pass. Without a problem.
Im not generating bullshit. It was on the ask an astrobologist site
We are not going to have any kind of special or rare alignment. We are going to have the same approximate galactic alignment that we have on the solstices every year.
The planetary "alignments" that we sometimes have, but are not having this year, are where 3 or more planets appear in a line across the sky as seen from our perspective here on Earth. They are not really aligned in space, just positioned so that they appear to us that they are in a line.
You should read our pages on alignments and look at the picture on the Planetary Alignment page.
Lastly, none of these things have even the slightest effect on us.
I also read there is one thing related to the mayan calendar and that is the rise of some god from a black hole will? But the inscription is said to end there. Is this true????how do we kno what that means
Famsi.org. It says there was no 2012 about end of the world. But of a rising of their god
What gives their religion more credibility than other religions out there? The Mayan civilization is long defunct. Their gods didn't save their old religion or civilization. Most in the Yucatan area and Guatemala are Catholics (or of that background).
What makes the Mayans so much better than the Aztecs or Incas? Or the Romans or Greeks for that matter?
No. There is no inscription that says this. The maya didn't even know black holes existed. Think about it. If nobody told you anything about black holes and you had no way of finding them, would you know about them?
A lie can travel half way around the world before the truth can get its boots on.
Where the hell did you read that? Can you provide the link, because thats the first I've heard of this. No god is coming back, there's supposed to be a celebration where the future king of the current Mayan people would have dressed up like the god and had a ceremony. Mayans are just another culture, like any other throughout history. Guess what, they also had a calendar like any other culture, and there are inscriptions dated past the year 4770AD on a tomb they found of Pakal. So there is nothing to fear my friend.
Now im sorry but theres a lie somwhere in the facts need to be straight. The last galactic alignment was 1998. So that meams they dont happen every year. This is the only debunkef theory im having trouble with. Its causing me anxiety. It seems like to me an actual galactic alignment can take place friday. If theres a special alignment scientist please just say so. So confused. Even the page on here dont seem like it go into details
The last galactic alignment was 1998.
There's no hard and fast definition of galactic alignment because it's pseudoscience and its proponents don't agree (they never do with this sort of thing) on what it actually is. There are 4 versions:
1) The crossing of the galactic equator by the solstice. This happened in 1998 (it happens twice every 26,000 years) and since it consisited of an imaginary line crossing an imaginary plane - nothing happened (rather like an imaginary line extending from the hour hand of your clock pointing at the Statue of Liberty).
2) The apparent lining up of the Sun with the plane of the Milky Way near the area of the Dark Rift. This happens every year.
3) The apparent lining up of the Sun exactly over the centre of the Milky Way galaxy, where a black hole resides. This never happens and even if it did, it would have no effect whatsoever.
4) The passing of the solar system through the central plane of the galaxy. This last happened 3 million years ago and won't happen again for another 30 million years.
All this is explained in more detail if you click on the menu to the left of the page.
The only one of these alignments involving precession is 1). Precession is not a one-off event. It's been going on for billions of years and will continue for billions more.
