So worried about 2012 please help

Hi , I am so worried about the world ending on the 21st it's driving mad !! I have read everything on the left and it made me feel a little better but I just can't seem to shake the worry off completely , I suffer from IBS and the worry is making it quite bad , I have tried going out and not thinking about it , not looking on the Internet etc but I always seem to be back on the internet looking especially at the news to see if there is anything about end of the world ! I think I need to be harder on my self . I just want to look forward to Christmas but I can't , how has everyone else overcome there fear ? Thanks

One thing that can help is to not go looking for anything relating to 2012. But, for your reassurance, there are articles that go against this end of world BS, such as this one, and this one. You have to be careful where you get your information from, as there are a lot of crankbag websites promoting this s***.

I just want to look forward to Christmas but I can't , how has everyone else overcome there fear ?

And you will, cause there is no evidence, not a speck of it that suggests the earth will just up and go, all in this week. Also, you will find a lot of people on here have overcome their fears by reading through the material on this site, and letting that fear, mainly from anxiety, drain away. Once scientific thoughts get into your mind, they crush that lingering fear, well it did for me and many others :)

One more time, there is nothing to worry about, cause if the world were to "really end", we should have seen very unusual disasters happening for months and months before the 21st, but go outside and look around, nothing is happening, everything is perfectly normal. I myself, along with many others, are actually looking forward to this Friday :)

think about it this way. Have you seen anything on the major networks (i.e. ABC, NBC, CBS) About the world ending? Nope. Have stores stopped advertising for Christmas? Nope. Can you still book a flight for new years eve so that you can get to a party in hawaii? Yup (I have). How can NASA hide anything for the public when they don't even own a quarter of the telescopes in the whole world? they can't. ooo ooo ooo, here is a good question. Can any of the doomsayers back-up what they say? They have not been able to. watch them use the phrase, " I think". The great fun is asking them why they think the way they do. The answers i have gotten are never straight forward. It is always vague and never to the point.
But really, if there was a remote chance that the world would end, wouldn't you think that CNN would be covering it? I bet they would send a reporter to niribu to cover it coming to earth.
anyhoo, just think logically, and always ask "why"

The nasty doombags tend to resort to name calling and insults as well, especially when asked for proof, oh boy do the fireworks flare up, and so much fun to watch haha!
