I started feeling better about friday, feeling happy about 2013. I was thinking about all the things i was going to do next year. Im going to a bruce springsteen concert, my best friend is having a baby, im going to africa. And suddenly i felt guilty for thinking all those things cause its like im naive. so i started googleing (WHY!?) and i clicked myself into guardian express again and after 2 min of reading i was worried again thinking i will never experience those things. its like i cant help it, its like my brain stops working. I KNOW i should not read those things but i want to know. I WANT TO BE PREPERED! Is there anyone else who understand that feeling? That understands WHY you keep reading thing you shoulnd't? I hate guardian express so bad.
Its call curiosity and it has been the downfall for many people. You know how you tell your kids don't touch that!!!, you can instantly see in their little eyes….mmmm i wonder why i shouldn't touch that??………it won't matter if i just quickly touch it?? You have already convinced yourself that there were lots of things to look for too in 2013, but curiosity got the better of you and you i'll have a little read……….the rest as they say is down hill from there. I suppose what you need to do is make a decision am i gonna look forward to seeing the "boss", spending time with my BF and here new baby or am i gonna worry about something that someone wrote, this is why god gave us free will.
"doing nothing is not an option"
@josielin
I WANT TO BE PREPERED!
Prepared for what? Doomsday? How does one prepare for that? If the world were ending, everyone would die. Preparations would be pointless.
Fortunately for us all, it is NOT ending. Please stop letting frauds and crackpots run your life. Take it back from them and stop reading their BS. Perhaps a change of scenery. At the times you normally go on the computer, do something else instead. Go to a movie or go out with friends.
I have learned to hate the Guardian Express after seeing what they are doing. They use a misleading headline to scare everyone, then say, much farther down the page, that it isn't true.
Maybe you thought you were recovered from your scare. And after you went to that BS site they kinda triggered those fears again.
after 2 min of reading i was worried again thinking i will never experience those things.
If the world were really going to end on Friday, why worry about this? It is not like you will be all disappointed that you did not get to experience these things afterwards anyway. So enjoy the next few days, and then the many years after Friday that you will have here on Earth. Sorry, but I found it amusing the way you wrote this.
And stop reading that garbage. You know you take it too seriously.
Joselien, please realize that after 2012 the doomsday idiots will come up with more dates to make their predictions about. So please do yourself a favor and stop reading them. If you are going to read them, then do so as you would read a book of fiction. You know it is just a story and take it as such. Treat it like reading the hobbit or some science fiction novel. But don't take them serious.
Haha I must tell you about that curiosity thing. You know many timed when someone complains that a computer program doesn't work that haven't read the file that is often included, commonly named READ THIS.TXT. So once when I downloaded a program, there was a text file named DON'T READ THIS.TXT. Yep you guessed it, I had to look in that text file immediately. The person who created that program was a really smart bastard :P
When you get too curious, like you did, just think "there is nothing they will say I haven't heard before". It's true. If you look for more BS to be scared of, you will find. But every single BS related to 2012 has been debunked here. You don't have to read about them over and over again. What for? If you find science and facts in this forum, why do you want to see something else?
Fight against this curiosity you are having. If you feel "guilty" again for ignoring the BS, just get away from the Internet. Play some games, watch TV… anything that can't make your fears return.
If the weather is nice, go outside and enjoy nature.
Exactly. Todays has been a beautiful day here (if we ignore the fact that it's ice cold winter haha). Everything has been so peacefully. I just came home from tennis practice and enjoyed it as usual, as did everyone else on all courts it seemed. A day like this I love to live. And when you feel that way it's really hard to think everything should be gone in 3 days. So right now I feel more convinced than ever that nothing will happen. It takes a lot to destroy a whole earth. If nothing has started yet it's impossible that it's bye bye just in a few days. Just think that way and you'll understand how the whole thing is, as Penn & Teller would say it, BULLSHIT! :P
The Guardian Express is total garbage. It's a tabloids with piss poor editing. The guy in charge of the site allows anyone to write articles… and as a result, you have some poorly written articles with idiotic claims.
They claim there have been more earthquakes, but it's totally false.
It's yellow journalism if I have ever seen it. Sensationalist nonsense. Please don't pay attention to it.
This year is very low on earthquakes; statistics say so.
