Summary:
dont you think if the world was ending we would sense or feel it comming
In 3 days we will wake up and the world will be the same as it was when we went to bed the night before and nothing will happen.
Do we need countdown threads seemingly every hour?
We get it, the 21st is in the near future, it's Friday as it happens. I'm sure a lot of people already have it imbedded in the back of their minds, they don't need someone up in their face shouting "Threeeeee days to go!", well intentioned or not.

yes definitely, the earth isn't just going to up and go KAPLONK in a matter of a few days. If it were to end, we should have seen massive disasters happening for months and months, but earth is showing no signs of doing anything silly, the solar system hasn't aimed anything at us, the sun is still behaving like it always has, so I'm guessing we're in for a normal month :)
I'm glad to hear that, Cortez. You're right, if the world were ending on Friday, we would be seeing something bigger than the Moon in the sky. Since there is nothing out there, it isn't.
wish ppl wouldnt keep sayin 3 days left then tmoz they will be puttin only 2 days its really startin to scare me again and i was finally startin to calm down god im gonna be a nervous wreck on fri and its scarin the shit out of me

It just means three more days that we have to deal with this silliness before Friday has passed and the world is still here just as it was before. Please don't let every little word throw you into a tizzy.
