And it's 3 days away from the end of the world, she is going to Antarctica. I can't link the article, but you lot are smart enough to find out.

I doubt this is a coincidence.

No, but it sure is bullshit.

So, to wrap this thread up before abandoning it completely, The Queen has no need to attend cabinet meetings, nor has any monarch since, as mentioned, bloody ages ago. She attended as part of her 60th year on the throne, and who knows, we might be repeating this story on her 70th year too.

As for Antarctica, the landmass owned by the UK is to be named in her honour. Hardly the same as the Queen deciding to wrap up warm and fly south for the winter, is it?

It's to Celebrate her 60 years on the throne, and it's already happened, so it should read "GONE to her first government meeting". Finally, the last time a monarch has sat in on a government meeting, it was a little over 100 years ago, not 231 years.

It is, she is the currently the 2nd longest reigning monarch in British history, only Queen Victoria is ahead of her, by a little under 3 years.
