It really is quite amusing the doom yards are now claiming that Patrick said it would happen by the end of the month. Today was the wrong day because and I quote:

What I find hilarious (or rather, sad) I found at least 10 articles written by Patrick Geryl that state there will be killer solar flares 12/20/12 and a pole reversal on 12/21/12… he specified those dates more than once…

So no, he didn't say "by the end of December" he SPECIFIED 12/21/12. He failed, move on followers.
Up until now, Geryl has never mentioned any date except 21st December 2012. All his eggs were firmly in the December 21st basket.
PS. There's another earthquake prediction failure to add to his failure list. Anyone feel any rumble from the magnitude 10 today?

Yeah I notice a lot of those who disputed Geryl have had their comments removed. They must have also been removed from his page, because I notice the # of subscribers and 'friends' has decreased all day today.
I saw that guys post, he is certain something will happen by the end of the month. A few people asked him how he knew and he said because I do and would keep repeating himself about what will happen. I think he's on drugs. They say never judge a book by it's cover but he looks it. haha Oh and don't even get me started on the person that runs his page. She is now claiming the sun has fireworks and it's just beginning. You also have this one that keep saying "Well….Patrick was just trying to help people, I do thank him for letting us know." I'm so over those disgusting people. No longer going on his page.

I still think it's ridiculous that they think he's right when he claimed over and over it would be the 20th and the 21st. He never said, "Sometime in December" "Sometime before January" "Sometime at the end of the month" He was very clear about the dates as you can see from my previous posts above that are FROM HIS OFFICIAL SITE.

What is really intriguing to me is whether he really believes the crap he presented to us as being real. He may have started out knowing he was basically making stuff up. However, at some point, did he begin to believe his own lies? Some of the theories are so absolutely bonkers that you have to wonder. I have pondered what I would actually come up with if I were to try and make up a story so I could get attention and sell books. When I thought about it I kept coming back to using as much science as possible to back up my claims. These doomsdayers, Patrick included, make some of the most unscientific claims I have ever heard. It is flat out bizarre.
It's often impossible to tell what some of the doomsday proponents really believe. I've said this before, but I think that the only two people who actually believe what they say are Patrick Geryl and Nancy Lieder. Lieder, of course, will continue to tell us that Planet X is approaching until she's pushing up daisies, having moved the Planet X goalposts before, but Geryl has put all his eggs in the 21st December 2012 basket and I'm uncertain what he'll do now.
He's yet to stick his head above the parapet on his Facebook page.
