Well, if Jupiter were any bigger, it would be a star. But theoretically if Earth had enough Hydrogen and enough mass, then it could become a star. But otherwise no, absolutely not. Earth cannot otherwise become a star.

"Jupiter is a failed star" is just one of those myths that people repeat ad nauseam without ever checking the facts.
No offense, but that is really stupid to believe. A planet can't turn into a star or vice-versa. It is impossible!
