I saw a news post that said a german researcher said one of the mayan calendar cycles dosen't really end until the 24th. Why do people always do this?
So they can milk it for all it's worth and keep the doomsday hoax going for as long as possible, by whatever means they can.
Whichever way you look at it, the doomsday nutters have FAILED big time. As we always knew they would and as they always have done in the past.
Pobody's nerfect
That German researcher sounds like a BS artist to me. The Mayan calendar already went into a new cycle. On the 21st. Either way, doesn't matter as the Mayans never predicted the end.
Lol, first they said the 21st, then they said the 23rd, now the 24th?
those who gave on on the Maya apocalypse are on their way to 2013 and 2015. It's like Harold Camping. He sold the rapture followed by apocalypse in 1994. When it didn't happen, he wasn't wrong, he just had the date wrong. It was really May 2011. When that was wrong, he wasn't wrong, it was more spiritual than literal, but the world was really going to end in October. When that didn't happen he finally gave up… but not after he milked believers for practically all their money. He's now living comfortably, retired on his ill gotten gains.
As long as there is money to be made from the hysteria… Doomgeeks will always be around spreading lies for money. Thankfully, so will sites like this… telling the truth for free.
It is simple. Doomsdayers always tweak the date to give the illusion of being right, but 2012hoax has caught a lot of them and it is on the record. They don't seem to check this.
For me, I was completely new to this and I had no idea doomsday predictions have been around for centuries. I'm starting to understand how slick those doomsayers can be and I guess they know how to get into peoples heads hence why you still see many gullible people after the 21st was over.

And the poster did not add the many new 2012 claims.

Same here. I really had no idea of the level of absolute stupidity on the Internet until I heard of this 2012 stuff. It's gotten to a stage now that I'm totally numb to it all, every time I hear of some doomsday or apparent conspiracy my eyes are rolling before I've even read it.
The great thing about science is, it's true whether you believe in it or not.
It's because they were wrong and they want money.
*rolls eyes*. AGAIN!? I saw online in tons of news sites that the Mayans began their celebrations on the 21st.
