Occasionally, a fake video or a misinterpreted report will cause them to start talking about Planet X, for example. "Yes, that's definitely Planet X. It looks as though it's getting nearer. It's definitely going to be bad." They almost seem to relish talking in this way.
I can only conclude (although not being a psychologist) that they have some inner desire to see the complacent scientific community and, following on from that, the corrupt and secretive government, thrown into confusion by a devastating event only foreseen by themselves. They so much want this to happen that they fail to see the real consequences of such an event as it affects them. Would they really be happy for their last words to be "Well, I was right"?
I came across an article about a psychological phenomenon known as the Dunning-Kruger effect. Apparently, the less knowledgeable a person is in a particular area, the less their ability to realise that they are not knowledgeable.

We do our best to discuss the topics in a straightforward manner, talking about what we know, and what we don't know, and what is impossible. Your response is the perfect example of why we do this… we absolutely can't guarantee that "nothing will happen"… but at the same time I can categorically state that "Nibiru is impossible as described".

Can I say that there won't be a massive solar flare on December 21st 2012? No. What I can say is that if there is a massive solar flare on that date, that it will most likely carry either no consequences for us, or perhaps some minor inconveniences. Thank you for recognizing that honest assessment.

That's why they feel the need to post their rants on here..if they truly believe that 2012 will bring the end of the world, why boast about it on here..if we choose to believe everything this site posts, then that's our decision, who are they to put their two cents in and tell us that we are wrong. They believe the world going to end, we do not..are we bashing their beliefs..apparently not until they start with their bashes on here. It's a total crock of sh*t. I'm 28 and granted I am not a child or adolescent that sparked concern for beginning this website, I am still very much concerned and this website has put me at ease, and I cannot thank you enough for that.

I admit, when I first started reading on this site a few days ago, I wanted so badly to cling to anything that told me the world wasn't going to end in 2012 but I had my reservations. The more I read and re-read and researched, and the viewed the links that everyone's provided for me in their responses, I gained respect and trust in the references! It's all black and white! And even though many of the things discussed debunk a doomsday scenario, there are still real possible consequences associated with all topics mentioned (i.e. long term communication damage as a result of solar activity) and they are all listed here! So, thank you!!!!!
