Hello Casey;

This website is not the right place to be asking about this… it's yet another conspiracy theory, and one that is not connected to the 2012 doomsday.

Can you prove that any of those people actually said those things? Why is "new world order" capitalized? You're proving my point. You're also convincing me that you aren't actually here to ask questions, but to advance a conspiracy agenda.

It is like quoting the Bible. You can find just as many quotes against world government. Also you need to look at the context of the statements.

Who was Fulbright referring? Was this in referring to back-ground political types who picked candidates ala Boss Taft?

I would take anything that Joseph Kennedy said with a grain of salt. You have to remember that he played the political game as well as they came. But you see how you can take each quote and refute it?

Also read U.S. history, and discover the themes that Americans wrestle with. The discussion about elites have been discussion from the very beginning, with the meaning changing with each speaker.

In short like 2012, people can find quotes, string them together, and voila, make a point. However, it doesn't address the fundamental problem of human thought and point of view. People will find data to support your point of view no matter how inane. See how 2012 is discussed, and apply the same logic to your question.

Thankyou but I am still very confused on what these people actually mean when they say 'one world governemnt' and 'new world order' . Please explain to me what stuff like this is suppose to mean:

"To achieve world government, it is necessary to remove from the minds of men their individualism, loyalty to family traditions, national patriotism, and religious dogmas." - Brock Adams, Director UN Health Organization

"We are not going to achieve a New World Order without paying for it in blood as well as in words and money." - Arthur Schlesinger Jr., 'The CFR Journal Foreign Affairs', August 1975.

"A world government can intervene militarily in the internal affairs of any nation when it disapproves of their activities." - Kofi Annan, U.N. Secretary General

"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond [i.e., an "extraterrestrial" invasion], whether real or *promulgated* [emphasis mine], that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this *scenario*, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government."

Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991

"The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining supercapitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control…. Do I mean conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent."

Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976, killed in the Korean Airlines 747 that was shot down by the Soviets

"The world can therefore seize the opportunity [Persian Gulf crisis] to fulfill the long-held promise of a New World Order where diverse nations are drawn together in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind."

George Herbert Walker Bush

"We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the work is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries."

David Rockefeller, founder of the Trilateral Commission, in an address to a meeting of The Trilateral Commission, in June, 1991.

"The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson."

A letter written by FDR to Colonel House, November 21st, l933

"The real rulers in Washington are invisible, and exercise power from behind the scenes."

Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter, 1952

"Fifty men have run America, and that's a high figure."

Joseph Kennedy, father of JFK, in the July 26th, l936 issue of The New York Times.

"The case for government by elites is irrefutable"

Senator William Fulbright, Former chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, stated at a 1963 symposium entitled: The Elite and the Electorate - Is Government by the People Possible?

I'm going to see if we can't have this flagged for deletion. It's just another "Please debunk all conspiracy theories!" thread, and they never turn out well. Or, really, it's just not something we should be bothering with.

Also, if you're going to keep reading into conspiracy theories, Rory, at least do so with a skeptics point of view. If you think JFK was talking about secret societies aiming to take over the world, that's fine. I guess he was killed for that or whatever nonsense people like to promote. Or stuff like "zomg these secret societies are secret so they MUST be evil."

Blah. Blah. Blah.

Honestly? I've gotten tired of trying to drag you out of the pit of conspiracy, Rory. At this point, believe what you want to believe. You're just ignoring what we've told you so far, and I don't see why any of us need to go through some bozo's YouTube channel, just so you can ignore THAT too, to try to coddle you and make you feel better at night.

Your hand has been held through this before, and all you've done is pulled away and demand 'more'. Walk on your own two legs, now. And if that path sadly takes you down Conspiracy Theory Highway, oh well.

I'll give you one last piece of advice concerning conspiracy theories, but then I am ultimately done with you on this topic. Or, at least, conspiracy theories involving secret societies and the "NWO".

Where's the solid evidence? The evidence that shows that these are in fact the purpose of these groups? Show me the evidence. And no, that YouTube crap isn't evidence. It's cherry-picked and twisted crap. It serves no purpose.

"But Moo, just because you can't prove it exists doesn't mean it's real!" You're right, kids. And as such, I'm gonna go molest a catgirl. Bye.

Is it a promoted channel? To my recollection, YouTube promotes the channels who have had massive increases in subscriptions or views, rather than a particular world view.

That, and whether the channel is a YouTube partner. If there's no source of income for YouTube, why promote? If the videos cannot carry adverts, why bother to drive thousands and thousands of people to see them?

You really shouldn't actively hunt for this stuff Rory, we've seen it before with other users here with other concerns, who search endlessly for what they fear and it drives them further into worry. You'll have a much easier task of debunking it yourself if you first accept that - as users like Juju have pointed out - that there is no basis for it in the first place, and as I think Moo mentioned elsewhere that's its more historical than modern.

Until that happens, until you draw a line and move away from it, you're only going to go around in circles.

There have always been "powerful [groups] manipulating politics." Governments comes to mind; political parties; different divisions within various governments (like congress, parliaments, courts, law enforcement agencies, etc.); corporate lobbyists; private lobbyists; individuals who vote every so many years; labor unions; and many others. This isn't something that just started happening, and it isn't likely to change. None of this means that the conspiracy theorist fictions about a "New World Order" or "Illuminati" have any basis in fact.

Rory, people can literally say anything on the Internet. The content policies of Yahoo! Answers, as with YouTube and Wikipedia and other sites, just make getting accurate information all the more difficult.

Can you provide some examples of these "good reasons" people give? I pay pretty close attention to the woo radar, and one of the things noticeably and consistently absent from conspiracy and doomsday claims is a "good reason" for believing any of it.

I really recommend saying away from Yahoo! Answers, if it's bothering you so much.

Pro tip: Never ask a question on Yahoo Answers. Listen to your parents.

Either I've written this before or I'm getting déjà vu - it is so easy to spam and troll Yahoo Answers, and to completely screw over the responses that it's incredible people can even still ask questions there in the first place.
