I wasn't old enough to remember Y2K and if riots happened. I'm thinking that since this proposed doomsday is more "mainstream" (The movie 2012 and all the YouTube videos and blog posts), more people will be frightened by it.

Also, when will Astrogeek's interview on BBC be?

Riots? IF people were worried they would do that now. Most people are ignoring it. Discovery channel and history channel will do their crap.

I really can't wait till this dumb date passes. It's just so annoying.

The internet tends to give a false impression of this sort of thing. The doom crowd make far more noise in proportion to their true numbers. Most people simply aren't interested in them and their ramblings. Out in the real world, everything typically just carries on as normal. People might watch the evening news with some amusement at a final comical item about people disappearing into their underground bunkers or congregating at mountains where UFOs don't appear. And that's about it.

Also, when will Astrogeek's interview on BBC be?

There were no riots in Y2K — on the contrary the streets were pretty much dead quiet as if a neutron bomb had gone off because allot of people were hiding out like idiots instead of bringing in the new millennium.

Very highly doubtful that will happen, metalangle.

You have no idea how many times since Rodney King, that people had said there would be riots if happens, and then when said "if" happens, there are none.

The claim has become like crying wolf at this point, that is usually fed by the hookers with microphones, err, I mean, the media.

As much as I hate doomtards with every fiber of my being, I really don't see them having the heart to do so simply because a bunch of internet nerds have allot more to fear from being Bubba's roommate than the rest of us do, and they know it.
